225: Self-Doubt? Here’s the Fix
Jul 10, 2025
How I Conquer Self Doubt (And How You Can Too)
If there’s one thing I know too many people wrestle with—especially entrepreneurs and ambitious people—it’s self doubt. I’ve been around enough dreamers who never take the first step because they’re caught in the grip of that nagging voice saying: you’re not good enough, you can’t do it, you’ll probably fail.
The truth? You don’t have time for self doubt. None of us do. I’ve spent years figuring this out the hard way, and I want to break down how I’ve eliminated self doubt in my own life and how you can too.
Because self doubt will kill your momentum, rob you of opportunity, and make your goals wither before they even start. I’m not here to sugarcoat it. You have to crush self doubt if you want to actually achieve anything.
So let’s dive into the four things I use every single day to eliminate self doubt and build unstoppable confidence.
1. Prove It to Yourself Through Action
The fastest way to kill self doubt is by taking action. Do something—anything—to prove to yourself you can. If you’re nervous about posting videos online, record one on your phone and post it. Doesn’t matter if it’s perfect (it won’t be). Just get it done.
Once you’ve done it once, do it three times. Then do it a hundred times. When you prove to yourself that you’re capable of consistent action, self doubt fades. You’ll develop an identity of someone who does, not someone who hesitates.
2. Know Nobody Has It Figured Out
Here’s one of my biggest lessons after interviewing hundreds of entrepreneurs, meeting mentors, and even billionaires: nobody has this stuff perfectly figured out.
Not a single person. Everyone’s just taking their best shot and making adjustments. Once I truly internalized that, I stopped putting successful people on a pedestal and realized they’re not much different than me—or you.
Knowing that is freeing. It helps dissolve self doubt because it’s not them vs. you. It’s just all of us trying to figure it out.
3. Adjust Like a Pro
This is where people separate themselves from amateurs. If you want to destroy self doubt, you can’t just keep doing the same thing over and over without improvement.
You have to establish feedback loops—data, results, engagement, income, whatever applies—and make adjustments. You post ten videos? See which performed best. Adjust. You send emails? Look at open rates. Adjust.
Adjustments prove to yourself that you’re capable of learning, improving, and making progress. When you see improvement over time, your self doubt has nowhere to hide.
4. Invest in Real Learning (Not Just Free Stuff)
Self doubt thrives when you dabble. Watching random YouTube videos and binging podcasts won’t cut it forever. Eventually you need to go pro.
That means paying for coaching, mentorship, or community. When you’re surrounded by people ahead of you—and held accountable by someone who isn’t afraid to tell you the hard truth—you’ll move faster. You’ll also believe more deeply in your ability to succeed, because you’ve shortcut the trial-and-error path that fuels self doubt.
Final Thoughts on Crushing Self Doubt
If you take nothing else away, hear this: you don’t have time to entertain self doubt. Life is moving. Opportunities are slipping by while you wonder if you’re capable.
Yes, you can do this. I’ll say it again—you can do this. It’s that simple. Take action, make adjustments, learn from the best, and believe in yourself.
Remember, a little discomfort now is worth the payoff later. Try harder.
