232: Copy This Email Marketing Strategy, It'll Blow Up Your Business
Aug 5, 2025
If you're not using e-mail marketing to grow your business, you're leaving money on the table. I've used a simple 3-email sequence—just three emails—to generate thousands of leads and over $5 million in revenue this year alone.
And here's the crazy part: most entrepreneurs are still making the same rookie mistakes with their email strategy. Let me show you how to fix them—and what to send instead.
The 3 Big E-Mail Marketing Mistakes You’re Making
Before we talk about what works, let’s clean up what doesn’t.
You assume people know what you offer.
They don’t. You think it’s obvious because you live in your business. But most leads have no idea how you can help them or why you’re different. You don’t make your offer clear.
You haven’t articulated what you do in a way that resonates with them—and more importantly, why they should choose you.You give them no reason to act now.
Why should they work with you today and not next month? If you’re not creating urgency or relevance, people delay... forever.
Let’s fix that with the Gain, Logic, Fear sequence.
Email 1: The Gain Email
This is your first impression. Your opportunity to show what’s possible if they work with you—without pressure.
Show what’s possible. Use a light testimonial or quick case study.
Make the next step feel easy. Don’t get in the weeds yet.
Low-pressure call to action. “Here’s how to work with me if you’re ready.”
This isn’t about begging for a sale. It’s a clean, confident intro that shows the gain they’ll get from taking the next step.
Email 2: The Logic Email
Now that they’ve seen what’s possible, you back it up with real reasoning.
Remove excuses with logic. Social proof, credentials, past results.
Tie into momentum. They’ve already signed up or downloaded something—keep that motion going.
Call out distractions. Let them know life will get in the way if they delay.
This is where you handle their objections before they even voice them. Keep it practical, grounded, and forward-moving.
Email 3: The Fear Email
This is where entrepreneurs get uncomfortable—but don’t worry, we’re keeping it ethical.
Make the cost of waiting obvious. Delayed action = delayed results.
Introduce real consequences. Not fake scarcity—real constraints. Example: “I only take on 10 clients per week, and 8 spots are already filled.”
Close the loop and walk away. Respect the lead. No need for a 9-email pressure campaign.
This final message tells them, “This is your chance. If it’s not for you right now, that’s fine—but we’re done selling.” That alone boosts credibility.
Final Thoughts: Why E-Mail Marketing Still Works
E-mail marketing isn’t outdated. It’s underutilized. Most businesses treat it like a checkbox—send a newsletter, maybe a few promos—and hope for the best.
But when you use strategic sequences like Gain, Logic, and Fear, you stop playing the guessing game. You give people what they need to take action—clarity, confidence, and timing.
This strategy is simple. It’s proven. And it works.
So if you want better results? Better leads? Better revenue?
Write the damn emails. And try harder.
