easy to not

try harder

Regret.

I've spent my entire life running from that word.

I've seized opportunities.

I've tried hard.

I've trusted myself.

In each stage of life, I stop and ask myself, "Are you doing your best right now?"

I am.

I'm taking action, so what could I possibly regret?

But what about inaction?

It's easy to not do something.

It's hard to build a business.

It's easy to not call a friend.

It's hard to be a good dad.

It's easy to not focus on anyone outside of the family.

It's hard to write a book.

It's easy to not write a quick text message.

I've gotten good at the hard and the 'easy to nots' slipped in somehow.

If you asked me a month ago, I would have told you that I have zero regrets.

But I've got regret now.

And all the regret comes from things that were easy to not do.

Send the message. Make the call.

Its too easy to not when you are doing hard things.

try harder,

JM
