some use the words synonymously.

but they are not the same.

when you begin, growth is the only goal.

growth is painful. messy. expensive.

growth cannot last. it's to take something you do not like and improve it. growth is a blunt force.

but growth is necessary. it’s the foundation. without growth, there is nothing to scale.

later, scale becomes the game.

scale is elegant. efficient. sustainable.

to scale is to improve constantly and forever. it's to take something you already like and make it bigger.

scale is a delicate balancing act. you can't take your growth hammer to a scale project.

you'll just keep breaking shit.
