spontaneous decisions.
organize the closet.
write a book.
go for a walk.
take a trip.
learn to play guitar.
just ideas…
at some point you may act on your ideas.
that action is a spark.
an extreme concentration of energy.
a very small, short-lived form of energy.
sparks are intense, but fleeting.
and I don’t know where they come from.
but I do know this.
they are incredibly easy to suppress.
the next time you feel restless…
pause.
the next time you feel bored…
sit with it.
the next time the calendar is wide open…
let it stay that way.
stillness invites sparks.
and when it comes,
you’ll create something incredible.
you’ll do something memorable.
but if you want to avoid sparks,
bury yourself in 5-15 minute distractions.
watch them add up to four hours on your phone.
or you can pause,
let the spark hit,
and set something ablaze.
try harder,
