Welcome to day 2 of “Write Your Newsletter. Grow Your Brand. It’s That Simple. Here’s How.”

Today, we start to get tactical as I cover my Content Multiplier Framework and I will go over how to get your first 1,000 email subscribers.

But why a newsletter…?

TWO Reasons:

Reason #1 - It’s a massive opportunity!

If you haven’t noticed, every major player in the online space has a newsletter. Why?

Well, there have been studies done that show for every $1 spent on email marketing, you can expect a $36 return.

So the next time you put $1 in your retirement account, ask am I going to get a 36x return on this…answer: NO.

This isn’t fluff, either. Just last year, we hired a $60K/per year team member to head up our email marketing following all of my systems and frameworks…and we generated $2M from JUST simple email marketing campaigns.

So we are getting 32x return on our investment.

It’s simple. It’s effective.

That’s Reason #1 you should implement a newsletter in your business ASAP.

Reason #2 - It’s the keystone habit.

One of the biggest push backs I get on running a newsletter is…

“That’s old school, Jerred! I need to be on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube…not wasting my time with sending emails.”

No so fast.

Where do you think good YouTube videos, short form videos, or solid instagram carousel posts come from???

The answer: A Good Script.

You know what I call a ‘good script’ - A NEWSLETTER.

I think the visual of my Content Multiplier Framework, will clear this up real fast.

You see… it all starts with the newsletter.

You don’t rise to the moment. You fall to your systems.

And the system of turning ONE newsletter into 30 pieces of content is ‘the play.’

You don’t need a massive audience. Just an amazing newsletter.

I’ve been doing it since 2011, but I made one BIG MISTAKE I want you to avoid when you head down this path.

My mistake:

  • I stopped being useful.

Here’s the story:

Every good business solves a problem.
Physical therapists get you out of pain.
Coaches help you reach your goals.
Chipotle fulfills your guac addiction.

When I first started, that’s all I did: solve problems.
Every newsletter, every podcast, driven by one goal: be useful.

And it worked.

But at some point… I got cocky.
I started talking about whatever the hell I wanted. I stopped solving problems.
And slowly, the growth stopped.

I thought I could be Joe Rogan.
Talk about elk hunting, aliens, and opinions for hours.
But there’s a difference…

Joe solves the “entertain me” problem.
I solve the “help me grow” problem.

And I suck at being an entertainer.
But I am good educator.

So now, the goal is to equip entrepreneurs with the tools and community they need to build something that lasts.

Not just content. Useful content.
Not just posts. Problem-solving posts.

And yes, you should share your stories. Be real. Be human.
But if you want to build a business, not a hobby, your content has to create value first.

And because I’m serious about being useful…

Every email you get from me is going to have a system, a framework, or some boring ops that will help you live a BIGGER LIFE.

Because that’s what we are here for: FREEDOM.
