This is the privacy policy for jerred.com (the "site"), operated by Jerred Moon ("I", "me", "my"). It explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a newsletter, answer messages, and understand how the site is used.

what I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me, plus basic, anonymous traffic data:

• Newsletter. If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your email address and any name you provide. This is handled by my email provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit).
• Contact form. If you send a message through the contact page, I collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message so I can reply. This is handled by Netlify Forms.
• Traffic data. My host, Netlify, measures site traffic on the server side: things like page views, referrers, and approximate location at the country level. This is aggregated and is not tied to you personally. The site does not run a client-side analytics script and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

how I use it

I use the information above to:

• send you the newsletter you signed up for,
• respond to messages you send me,
• understand which content resonates so I can make the site better.

I do not sell your personal information. I do not rent or trade it. Ever.

who I share it with

I share data only with the service providers that make the site work, and only so they can perform their function:

• Kit stores newsletter subscribers and sends the emails.
• Netlify hosts the site, processes contact form submissions, and provides traffic analytics.

Each of these companies has its own privacy practices, which I encourage you to read. I may also disclose information if required by law.

cookies

The site itself does not set tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to on that front. Embedded content from third parties (for example a YouTube video) may set its own cookies once you interact with it, under that provider's policy.

your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. You can also email me to be removed.
• Access or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing support@better.biz. I will honor reasonable requests.

children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given me personal information, email me and I will delete it.

changes

I may update this policy as the site changes. When I do, I will update the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
