Do you catch yourself saying a lot of “I think” 🤔 or “I feel like” when you are making business decisions 📊… STOP.

Here’s a little secret: success isn’t some mystical unicorn 🦄 you chase after, it’s a formula 🧮 you can replicate and scale. If you’ve achieved success once, you can dissect it, replicate it, and multiply it. Stop relying on those “I think” moments and feelings. Instead, let’s break down success and make it happen repeatedly.

Scaling a Business is Not Mystical; It’s Mathematical

When I first went to scale my business, I started with just $100 a month in advertising 💵. Might not seem like a lot, but it was a lot for me. I watched that tiny budget like a hawk 🦅. Every click, every conversion, every penny spent, analyzed and tweaked until the numbers told a better story. And guess what? It worked. The formula isn’t complicated; it’s just about having the guts to face the numbers.

The Framework

Let’s break it down:

  • Lead: You do something to get a person’s contact information
  • Next Step (call/conversation/evaluation/etc.): Is it a mutual good fit for them and you
  • Customer: Now, you have a customer!!
  • Stick Rate/LTV: Keep them coming back for more.

Simple, right? But here’s the kicker: Every single point in that process has it’s own measuring stick. How many people did you reach out to get leads…? Did you reach out to a 100 and get 50 leads? That’s 50% conversion rate. And so it trickles down.

Plug in the numbers to your process and it will shine a light on what you suck at. Good at leads…suck at sales? Awesome at sales…suck at keeping people around?

Analyze and tweak until the numbers tell a better story.

Then, throw as many people as possible into the top of your funnel and you’re officially scaling.

Why This Works

This framework shines a light on your weak spots. No more “I think this might work” nonsense. You’ll have cold, hard data showing you exactly where you need to improve.

In the end, it’s about putting in the work, analyzing the results, and making better decisions based on real numbers. Feelings are for therapy sessions; business is about metrics. So, stop guessing and start reverse engineering your success.

Ever felt the crushing weight of trying to be perfect every single day? Just me 🙋🏻‍♂️. Newsflash: you don’t need to be perfect. What you do need is to stop making stupid decisions 💭 that sabotage your progress. Go to bed on time 🛏️, eat something that won’t make you feel like garbage 🥗, and quit whining about it 😩.

Quit Making Bad Decisions…

Let’s talk about a friend of mine. This guy gets out of shape and decides the solution is to go full throttle: 1,000 push-ups a day, some fancy new training program, guzzling gallons of water. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. Too much addition, not enough subtraction. He tried to do it all and ended up doing nothing.

The Framework

Here’s the real deal: you face at least a dozen decisions every day that can either get you a little closer or a little further from your goals. Forget about creating new habits for a second. Just focus on not screwing up the decisions you already make daily.

  • Snooze the alarm clock: Get up already.
  • Food choices: Eat like an adult.
  • Downtime: Use it wisely.

Why This Works

The beauty of this approach is its simplicity. You don’t need to start with, “What can I add to my life?” Start with, “How can I stop making bad decisions?” It’s that straightforward. Try it tomorrow. Don’t do more. Do less bad.

The secret to building a better you isn’t about piling on new habits or routines. It’s about minimizing the bad choices. Start small, and you’ll see big changes. No need for perfection, just less stupidity. Now get to it.

The Art of Discipline: The 10x10 Challenge 💪🏼

Want to master the art of discipline 🥷? You can’t, but here’s a small but powerful practice straight from my book, Killing Comfort. I challenge you to do one thing for 100 days straight ⛓️. But before you freak out, let’s break it down to make it manageable.

Break It Down: 10 Days at a Time

The thought of doing something every day for 100 days can be overwhelming. So, let’s reframe it. Commit to doing something every day for just 10 days. Then, repeat that 10 times. Yes, it’s the same thing, but chunking it makes it mentally 🧠 easier. Our brains handle chunks of information better. Think of it as Sprint 🏃🏻‍♂️ One of your 10-day discipline challenge. After 10 days, you’ll feel accomplished. Then, do it again. And again. By the end, you’ve completed 100 days.

Why This Works

This method expands your threshold and boosts your discipline. What you choose to do is up to you. Think of discipline like lifting weights. You wouldn’t try to squat 500 pounds without training. Similarly, don’t jump into a massive discipline challenge if you’re not ready. Start with something realistic. Even if it’s painfully simple, like taking a multivitamin every day for 100 days.

Start Small, Think Big

Sounds silly? It’s not. How many times have you forgotten to take a multivitamin? Focus on doing it every single day without fail. Achieving this builds your confidence and proves you can stick to something daily. Once you’ve nailed the simple task, move on to something more complex and impactful.

Expand Your Threshold

To truly expand your threshold, you need to start small and build up. This approach teaches you consistency and gradually increases your discipline. Whether it’s a multivitamin, a short exercise routine, or another small habit, completing it daily for 100 days will transform your discipline and prepare you for bigger challenges.

So, quit making excuses and start your first 10-day sprint tomorrow. Do less bad. Be more disciplined. Expand your threshold.
