boring. brutal. better.

the real reason your business stopped growing

but most are just standing between phases.

hey there,

every founder thinks they’re stuck…
but most are just standing between phases.

here’s the continuum every builder walks through:

phase 1: kill comfort ($0, $20K/mo)

you do it all. you sell, serve, sweep, repeat.
the work burns hot because it’s fueled by fear (rent, bills, pride).
it’s chaos, but it works. until it doesn’t.

phase 2: boring ops ($20, $80K/mo)

this is where most quit without quitting.
they keep grinding, but growth stalls.
because now the job is systems, not sprints.
you trade adrenaline for spreadsheets, consistency, and checklists.
it’s dull. which is why it’s powerful.
master boredom, and the business compounds.

phase 3: leadership ($80K+/mo)

you can’t scale past people.
now your systems serve your team, not you.
your discomfort shifts again to delegation, clarity, and trust.
you stop pulling every lever and start teaching others how.

every level demands a new kind of discomfort.
that’s the real continuum.

so my questions for you…

1.) which phase are you in?
2.) are you applying the right strategies for the phase you’re in?

kill comfort.
build boring ops.
then lead.

try harder,

JM
